Lent 2019

The theme for this Lent will be 'Christianity, Climate Change and Sustainable Living'  all sessions start at 7.30pm.

There will be a series of lectures on this theme and bible study groups, as well as a sermon series.  This will be an ecumenical initiative.  The dates for the lectures start on 11th March with a talk from the Bishop of Salisbury on the theme: Climate Change.  What can Christians do? at St Edmund's Church, Oxford Road.

Other dates are:

18th March.  Adrian Griffiths, CEO of Recycling Technologies, Swindon on 'The Plastic Problem.' at St May's Church, Church Street.

25th March.  Film - 'Before the Flood' at Calne Baptist Church

1st April. Climate change and agriculture in developing countries by Anna Campbell-Johnston, Head of programmes for 'Send a Cow' at Calne Methodist Church

8th April.  Celtic worship. at St Mary's Church, Church Street.

Venues will be confirmed nearer the date.

Lent Lunches - starting on Friday 8th March.

During Lent you are welcome to join morning and evening prayer in St Mary's Church Tuesday to Saturday each week at 8.30am and 5.30pm.
